The 93rd Academy Awards took place last night at Union Station in Los Angeles. Check out all the pictures from the red carpet.
It is one of the most anticipated cinematic events of the year. A month and a half after the Golden Globes, the highly anticipated 93rd Academy Awards took place on the night of Sunday April 25 to Monday April 26, in Los Angeles. And glamor was again in the spotlight. More than a year after the start of the health crisis and while most ceremonies dedicated to the seventh art have been held remotely since the start of the year, the Oscars have relied on a face-to-face ceremony where the tradition of the carpet red was respected, under the leadership of many personalities. Reese Witherspoon, Vanessa Kirby, Halle Berry, Carey Mulligan, Amanda Seyfried, Zendaya, Margot Robbie, Glenn Close, Leslie Odom Jr., Regina King, Viola Davis… All made the trip to Union Station – the evening is being held from ordinary at the Dolby Theatre, to discover the winners of this 93th edition.

“Nomadland”, “The Father”…
Just like the Golden Globes, the SAG Awards or the Baftas, the Oscars evening rewarded films that were mainly seen in streaming this Sunday – cinemas cinema having closed their doors following the coronavirus epidemic. Big favorite this year, the director Chloé Zhao triumphed by winning the prestigious statuette of the best director as well as that of the best film for “Nomadland”. A feature film which also earned Frances McDormand the Oscar for best actress. Another highlight of the evening was the triumph of Frenchman Florian Zeller, rewarded for the screenplay of his first film “The Father”. Anthony Hopkins, who stars in this adaptation, received the Best Actor Award. Discover all the images of the evening.
